Taking one new project this quarter
Alex
Rivera
Software engineer. I build web products end to end — schema, server, and every pixel above it.
Nine years of shipping things people use on a Tuesday afternoon: internal tools, payment flows, and apps that have to keep working when the signal drops.

Ledger
A close-the-books dashboard for a payments team. Reconciliation that used to take three days now finishes before lunch.
TypeScript · Postgres · Remix
Fieldnote
Survey app for teams working past the edge of coverage. Records offline, resolves conflicts on its own once a signal returns.
React Native · SQLite · CRDTs
Halftone
A duotone press in the browser. Drop in a photo, pick two inks, export plates a real riso printer will accept.
WebGL · Rust/WASM · Canvas
Switchboard
On-call routing for a 40-engineer org. Four thousand alerts a week reach the right person on the first page.
Go · Redis · Twilio
How I work
I like problems where the messy part is real: a spreadsheet six people depend on, a form nobody can finish, a queue that quietly drops things at 3am.
I start by watching someone do the job by hand. Then I build the smallest thing that removes the worst step, put it in front of them the same week, and keep going from there.
I write my own CSS, review my own migrations, and stay on the pager for what I ship. Small teams, long relationships, no handoff cliff.

A paragraph is plenty. What the thing is, who it's for, and when you need it.
